Did you know that you are part of a department with a long and rich tradition? Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Department was founded in 1946 and started as a “School for Country Newspaper Printers” but then evolved into a “Print Engineering” program and then to “Graphic Communication” in which you are prepared for the graphic communication jobs of today and tomorrow.
You are part of a group of approximately 300 highly selected majors who are looked upon as the future leaders of the graphic communication industry. Your concentrations, Design Reproduction Technology, Graphics for Packaging, Graphic Communication Management, Web and Digital Media, and Individualized Course of Study are specialized. Having participated in these concentrations makes you uniquely qualified to achieve a successful career in the diverse graphic communication industry.
When you graduate from Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Department you will be part of nearly 4,000 alumni many of whom are industry leaders, innovators and critical thinkers.
