The Printer's Favorite Paper and Card Cutter (1858)

printer's favorite paper and card cutter

The Printer's Favorite paper cutter is the most noteworthy piece of this collection. To our knowledge it is one of three in the United States. It was introduced in 1854 by Anson Hardy Cutting Machine Works. The Printer's Favorite paper cutter was a predecessor of the paper cutter. The operation of the Printer's Favorite used a simple draw knife arrangement which "ploughs" through a ream of paper after repeated cuts.
