Why should you go?

The GrC Career Day is your chance to learn about some of the many companies who hire Graphic Communication students and graduates. You should feel welcome to come to career day at any time during your time in the GrC department, whether you are a freshman, senior, or anywhere in between.

As a Freshman, your primary objective will be to come and learn about the diversity of companies who recruit GrC students. You will want to walk around, observe, talk with the various recruiters, and consider various job opportunities. Sophomores and Juniors will want to discuss internship opportunities with various employers. You may be surprised at the opportunities, many in close proximity to your home town.

As a senior, you will certainly want to tune up the resume and dust off your best outfit, as this is your chance to impress the employers with your preparedness for a career in graphic communication.

Did you know that it is never too early to go to a career day?

Many students attend career day every quarter beginning in their freshman year? Why? Because it offers two key benefits:

  1. First you will become very familiar with they specific companies that you will want to work for upon graduation
  2. You will be on a first name basis with the recruiters from those companies. It pays to be a regular at career day!
